Which model files does Sirv support?

Sirv serves files in GLB and glTF format. It can convert files to GLB format, if your model is .usdz, .obj, .fbx, .stl or .blend. If you have a different model format, please ask your 3D model provider if they can send you files in GLB format or ask the Sirv team if they can help.

Can Sirv convert files to GLB format?

Yes! Sirv can automatically convert your files to GLB on upload (if your files are USDZ, OBJ, FBX, STL or BLEND). Please ask the Sirv team to configure an automated workflow for you.

How does AR (Augmented Reality) work?

AR shows your model through the camera of your users phone. Any phone or tablet with an AR supported browser can enter AR mode to see their surroundings and your scalable model automatically overlaid in their room. It works on all iOS devices and most Android devices too.

How can I optimize the file size?

GLB files can be really big, so we recommend using Sirv to optimize the size. Sirv can automatically scale and compress images and make other optimizations to your model to reduce the size significantly, with little or no reduction in quality. Ask the Sirv team if you’d like automatic optimization to be applied to your models.

Can I render my model as an image?

Yes, Sirv can render models as photorealistic images. Tell the Sirv team your requirements and they can configure a workflow to automatically generate images or 360 spins from the angles you need.

How do I add my model to my website?
